Copper teapots make a great home item

Tea is the beverage of choice for so many people. It has an amazingly delicate flavor and has less caffeine than your average cup of coffee will. If you are the type of person that loves to have people over for tea, then you must have a beautiful teapot that will keep your tea warm as it steeps and will also set the mood for the occasion. The perfect pot for this sort of thing is a copper teapot.

Copper teapots were often the pot of choice many years ago. They were often the focal point of so many people’s kitchen décor. Copper teapots were favored because their construction made them long lasting. Many of these pots can be found in antique stores because they can last for so many years and still keep in good condition.

Because copper teapots are so great, many manufacturers still produce them. If you can’t find an antique one, there is no harm in getting a brand new one. A pot of this kind will last you for years and you can pass it along through the family. Eventually your pot will become an heirloom full of great memories.

If you really want an antique copper teapot, the best place to look is of course antique stores and thrift stores. However if you cannot find one, don’t fret because there are so many auction sites like eBay that may have exactly what you are looking for.

If you want your teapot to last for years to come, then it is important to take great care of it, which isn’t really that difficult at all. Make sure that you polish and clean your pot regularly. Hand washing should be more than enough for a copper teapot. It’s probably not a good idea to put your teapot into a dishwasher because you may damage the surface.

Some types of tea

Tea is one of the most consumed drinks in the world. It is second only to water. Tea is something that has been consumed by people for hundreds of years. It’s amazing what a couple of herbs steeped in some water can do for you. While there are so many different kinds of teas, there is only one plant species that produces it. That plant is called the camellia sinensis. The different types of teas come from the different regions that it is cultivated and also the method that the leaves are processed.  There’s several categories of teas. Let’s have some fun finding out what they are!

The first is black tea. Black tea is the leaves of camellia sinesis. They are exposed to the air for 8-24 hours and then picked and dried so that all of the water inside of them evaporates. Once they have dried they are rolled into balls so that oxidization can occur. After this the leaves will begin to turn black.

The next type of tea is oolong. Out of all of the types of tea in the world, oolong is considered to be the type that is the most difficult to process. Oolong tea falls somewhere between black tea and green tea because the leaves are only partially oxidized. Like black teas, oolong is left out to dry for up to 24 hours. Then it is tossed about to create some exposure to the air. It is then steamed which will prevent them from oxidizing any further.

Green tea is similar to white tea in that it is closer to it’s original form than most other teas. As a result it is low in caffeine and has higher amounts of antioxidants. They leaves are steamed or pan fried in order to prevent any oxidation from occurring.

White tea is the least processed of all teas and has the freshest leafy taste. White tea is made from the buds of the tea plant which are steamed or pan fried to prevent oxidation. It is also handled very carefully to prevent any sort of bruising to the plant.

Tea is delicious in all the forms that it comes in. Remember when drinking tea it’s important to have an amazing tea kettle. Check this link out for information on the best electric tea kettle

About tea infusers

A tea infuser is a basket shaped container that is used to brew tea. They are usually quite small, however there are many variations depending on whether they are to be used in a teapot or in a teacup. They generally have perforated holes to allow the water to infuse with the tealeaves that are placed in the infuser.

Tea infusers come in all shapes and sizes some are large so that they can be used within a teacup and others are smaller so that they can be used in a single mug or cup. They are made in a variety of materials, generally meshy materials, metal and glass. Sometimes they even come in fun shapes, which are perfect if you need a gift to give to a tea lover.

A tea infuser is definitely something that you are going to need if you wish to brew tea from tealeaves in your own home. While most people will settle for tea bags, nothing will beat a cup of tea that is brewed with an infuser and fresh leaves. While the name may sound kind of intimidating, an infuser is really easy to use. All you have to do is add the tealeaves to the container and lower it into a boiling cup or pot of water. If you prefer, you can also place the infuser into the cup first and then pour the boiling water over it.

Always make sure you have an infuser that works with the kind of tea you are looking to use. If you tealeaves are very small and your infuser has large holes, then it is likely that some of the tealeaves will escape into the water. Although this could be fun if you want to pretend that you can read someone’s fortune with the tea leaves as the bottom of the cup!

A tea infuser is also an amazing thing to have if you want to mix and match different blends of tealeaves. You can literally create any flavor that you could possible want by doing this.
